Protect Your Inside Air From Asthma and Allergens
We often hear about the dangers of outside air pollution, but in fact the air you’re breathing indoors can be as much as 7x more polluted than the air outdoors.
This is often the source of asthma and allergy flare-ups occurring in your home or business.
Pasterkamp has great solutions for people who suffer from asthma and allergies. We offer a variety of products and solutions to fit home and business applications.
Air Filters / Air Purifiers
Installation of a Media Air Cleaner can safely capture asthma and allergens like pollen, dust, mold, and even pet dander that are most likely floating in your home or business.
Media Air Cleaners capture up to 99% of airborne particles passing through your air filtration system. They are low maintenance with up to 1 year filter life for most applications.
Pasterkamp highly recommends MERV or HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) Filters.
MERV Rating
MERV rating (minimum efficiency reporting value) is a measurement scale designed to rate the effectiveness of air filters. The scale represents the leap in the precision and accuracy of air-cleaner ratings
HEPA air filters satisfy very particular air quality standards as set by the United States Department of Energy (DOE). HEPA air filters remove 99.97% of all particles greater than 0.3 micrometer from the air that passes through. HEPA air filters are superior to most other air filters on the market.
Humidifiers
Pasterkamp can help make your indoor environment more comfortable by adding humidity control to your whole home or business.
The lack of humidity in the air affects your skin, nasal passages and throat, as well as your breathing.
A Pasterkamp-installed home or business humidifier will work in conjunction with your heating and cooling system to alleviate irritants such as:
- Sinus headaches
- Nose bleeds
- Sore throat
- Dry skin
- Static electricity
Zoning Controls
The Pasterkamp pros know all about making your home or business more comfortable. One way we can improve your comfort level is through zoning controls.
Zoning controls can be added to any forced heating or cooling system as an accessory, and allows you to adjust the temperature in various parts of your home independently.
Each area of the home will have its own thermostat, and you can set the temperature for what you like for heating and cooling for just that area.
You might want your living room and dining room to be set at 71 degrees, but maybe you like it warmer in your bedroom at 75 degrees.
You have the ability to choose how many zones you want to have, from two zones on up, with most homes using two to six zones.
Thermostats
Ranging in styles and function including wi-fi enabled or “smart” thermostats, thermostats can regulate a range of functions in your home; temperature, humidity, indoor air quality, and much more.
We can help you decide what works best for your home or business, and help make your home or business more comfortable while saving you money on utility bills.
Ventilation Exhaust Systems
Proper Ventilation:
- Bring in fresh air while maintaining energy efficiency
- Low maintenance, low energy usage solution
- Recovers up to 80% of heating and cooling energy
Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV) and Heat Recovery Ventilators (HRV) are used to bring in filtered air from the outside into your heating and cooling system, while exhausting or refreshing the air from your Metro Denver home.
The construction of our homes is getting tighter and allowing for fewer natural air exchanges. This allows the air in our homes to become stale and lowers the quality of the air. Bringing fresh air in keeps the quality of the air in our homes where it should be and gives a noticeable difference to any home.
When the air is brought in through an ERV the heat and humidity are transferred efficiently into the incoming air so that you keep most of the humidity and heat in your home.
These products help to lower VOC levels in your home. VOCs, or volatile organic compounds, are considered a leading threat to our health today and the more ‘efficient’ we make our homes the higher these levels usually are.
When it comes to your air conditioning and cooling needs – Pasterkamp can handle that!
